Knowledge Before Product Selection

Aquatic Systems & Biofiltration

Separate water-clarity, suspended-particle, waste and biofiltration issues before selecting a product.

Read the Guide
01

Cloudy Water Has More Than One Possible Cause

Review the type of cloudiness, suspended particles, bottom waste, water color and odor, and changes after feeding, rainfall or increased animal load.

02

Review the System Before Selecting a Product

Consider water volume, circulation, aeration, biological filtration, feed load, animal population and water-change history together.

  • Is filtration operating continuously?
  • Was the filter cleaned or disinfected before the issue appeared?
  • Did the issue occur suddenly or build over time?
  • Are aquatic animals present during application?
03

Separate Water Clarity from Biological Management

J.KAY-Clear is intended to help manage suspended particles and restore clarity in ornamental and koi ponds. J.KAY Micro Mix supports biological filtration and waste management in aquatic systems.

04

Change One Part at a Time and Monitor

Avoid changing several system factors simultaneously. Record water condition, feeding, filter operation and response after application. If aquatic animals show abnormal behavior, prioritize safety and seek guidance promptly.
