Product Information

Product Name: J.KAY-Clear Product Category: Aquatic Product Type: Water clarifier for suspended-particle and water-transparency management Form: Powder Net Weight: 200 g Retail Price: THB 190

J.KAY-Clear is based on a proprietary extract developed using J.KAY formulation technology. Detailed composition and formulation information are proprietary and are not disclosed publicly.

02

What is J.KAY-Clear?

J.KAY-Clear is a powdered water clarifier developed to help manage water turbidity caused by suspended particles.

It works by helping very small particles dispersed in the water come together into larger aggregates. These particles can then settle more easily or be captured more efficiently by the filtration system.

The intended result is clearer, more transparent water that allows fish and the condition of the pond to be seen more clearly.

The product is particularly suitable for koi ponds and ornamental fish ponds, while also being applicable to other aquatic water systems where appropriate.

03

Three Key Points to Remember

1. Helps manage suspended particles

J.KAY-Clear helps small suspended particles combine into larger groups, making them easier to settle or remove through filtration.

2. Helps restore water clarity

As suspended particles are reduced, water transparency improves, allowing fish and pond features to be seen more clearly.

3. It is not a microbial product

J.KAY-Clear is not a microorganism-based product.

It does not perform the same role as products designed for organic-waste decomposition, ammonia management, or biological filtration.

04

Suitable Situations for Use

J.KAY-Clear is suitable for situations such as:

  • Cloudy water caused by suspended particles
  • Fine particles dispersed throughout the water
  • Filtration systems struggling to capture very fine suspended material
  • Poor visibility of fish
  • Water color or turbidity associated with suspended particles
  • Ponds requiring improved water transparency
  • Koi and ornamental fish ponds where visual water quality is especially important

J.KAY-Clear is not intended for organic-waste decomposition, ammonia reduction, nitrite reduction, disinfection, or disease prevention.

05

How It Works

Water turbidity can be caused by very small particles that remain suspended and do not settle easily.

J.KAY-Clear helps these particles aggregate into larger and heavier groups.

Once aggregated, the particles can:

  • Settle more easily
  • Be captured more effectively by the filtration system
  • Remain suspended for a shorter period
  • Contribute less to visible water turbidity

This is primarily a physical suspended-particle management process, not a microbial decomposition process.

06

Key Product Features

  • Powder formulation
  • Designed for suspended-particle management
  • Helps reduce water turbidity
  • Helps improve water transparency
  • Not a microbial product
  • Can be used in ponds while fish are present when applied at the recommended rate
  • Compatible with filtration systems
  • Can be incorporated into a water-management program together with J.KAY Micro Mix
  • Applicable to a range of pond and aquatic water systems
07

Benefits to the User

When used correctly at the recommended rate, J.KAY-Clear is intended to:

  • Help improve water clarity
  • Make fish easier to see
  • Help reduce suspended particles
  • Help filtration systems manage fine particles more effectively
  • Improve the visual appearance of koi and ornamental fish ponds
  • Make routine water-clarity management easier and more systematic
08

Expected Results

Based on practical product-use experience, changes in water clarity can often be observed within approximately:

24–48 hours

Actual results depend on factors such as:

  • Initial turbidity level
  • Amount of suspended material
  • Water volume
  • Filtration efficiency
  • Water circulation
  • Application rate
  • Individual pond conditions

The product should therefore not be communicated as guaranteeing identical results in every pond within a fixed period.

09

J.KAY-Clear vs. J.KAY Micro Mix

J.KAY-Clear

Not a microbial product

Primary focus:

Turbidity + suspended particles + water transparency

It helps suspended particles aggregate and become easier to remove from the water system.

J.KAY Micro Mix

A multi-strain microbial product

Primary focus:

Supporting biological filtration and microbial activity within the aquatic system

The two products therefore perform different functions and can be incorporated into the same overall water-care program.

10

Suitable Applications

J.KAY-Clear can be applied to:

  • Koi ponds
  • Ornamental fish ponds
  • Concrete ponds
  • Earthen ponds
  • Recirculating water systems
  • Filtration systems
  • Other aquatic systems where appropriate

For commercial food-production aquaculture, including edible fish and shrimp, applicable regulatory requirements should be considered before commercial use.

For the J.KAY website, the primary positioning should therefore remain focused on koi and ornamental fish ponds.

11

Application Rate and Method

Standard Application Rate

5–10 g of J.KAY-Clear per 1,000 L of water

Application Method

  1. Measure J.KAY-Clear according to the total pond-water volume.
  2. Dissolve the product in a separate container of clean water.
  3. Stir until evenly dispersed.
  4. Pour or distribute the prepared solution evenly around the pond.
  5. Allow the circulation and filtration system to continue operating normally.
12

Recommended Application Frequency

Recommended application:

Every 7–15 days

Frequency may be adjusted according to water turbidity and pond conditions.

If the water remains excessively cloudy, the application amount may be gradually adjusted upward in small increments while monitoring the result.

Avoid making a large increase in dosage in a single application.

13

Application Precautions

Although J.KAY-Clear can be used while fish are present, it should be applied according to the recommended dosage.

Excessive application may affect water conditions and aquatic animals.

Recommended practice:

  • Begin with the standard application rate
  • Evaluate water conditions before increasing the amount
  • Increase dosage gradually if necessary
  • Observe fish behavior and water conditions after application

There is currently no confirmed product-specific instruction requiring UV, ozone, or other equipment to be switched off. Such restrictions should not be added unless supported by verified technical information.

14

Using J.KAY-Clear with J.KAY Micro Mix

J.KAY-Clear can be incorporated into the same pond-management program as J.KAY Micro Mix.

Each product performs a different role:

J.KAY-Clear → Supports suspended-particle and water-clarity management

J.KAY Micro Mix → Supports microbial activity and biological filtration

Together, they can form part of an integrated approach to:

“Water clarity + biological system management.”
